Hair Inspiration!

Pondering where to even begin with looking for hair inspiration my Spotify playlist saves the day. It plays 'Lady Marmalade'- Moulin Rouge Soundtrack.
BOOM! Christina's hair in this music video is phenomenal. It's big. It's frizz. It's outrageous, just like my lady in waiting.
These two images are my favourites that I've found on a pintrest binge. I like how the hair is half up/half down. This will play a crucial part in my design because I want the hair to look pulled out, unfinished.

Looking closely at these images, in the top photo you can see that she'd had synthetic hair extensions kanerowed onto her scalp. The reason I've stated that it's synthetic hair is because it gives a knowing shine that natural hair extensions don't. I've used Kanekalon hair extensions before and you get a lot from frizz from it. It's popular among Synthetic Dread makers. I love the amount of crimped frizzed that has added a serious amount of volume to her hair. I've made a decision to include crimping in my design because I love the overall look of brushed out crimped hair.
I wanted a more rough look so while watching one of my favourite films, I found inspiration in Ms Lovett's hair. It's crimped, frizzy and has a few defined curls. The reason I love this hairstyle is because her character has been through a lot, and it's almost like she doesn't hair time to look after her own well being, so her hair suffers. My lady was whisked away to The Tower of London the day after she had her child, so I don't think there was much time for hair adjusting. I wanted a slightly pulled out hairstyle and so fair this is the closest to what I envision.
I really like this. I want two props to be used for my final design. I've incorporated this into each of my three designs. I don't want mine to be as smooth as this. So I'll want the hair crimped and brushed before hand. I want two rolls further up on the head, to make a heart shape.
